"THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUCCESS AND FAILURE IS IN THE WILLINGNESS TO WORK VERY, VERY HARD...."

CHRISTOPHER MARCINKO

A Little About Me...

I graduated in 2000 from Kent State University with a B.A in English and in 2004 from the University of Toledo College of Law with a Juris Doctorate.  I took and passed the Ohio Bar examination in Summer, 2004 and began my solo practice in April of 2005 after working for another local attorney for one year and interning in two prosecutor's offices.  Since that time I have enjoyed getting to know many people throughout the community as clients, colleagues and friends and have tried many cases to jury and to the bench. Many of my former clients remain in touch as friends and often refer new clients.

I am currently a licensed attorney in the State of Florida, as well as Ohio and enjoy both locations.

Most of my Ohio cases have been in Ottawa, Erie, Huron and Sandusky Counties although I do travel to other jurisdictions in the area. I am a member of the Ottawa County and Sandusky County Bar Associations.

For nearly a decade, I served as a board member of the Humane Society of Ottawa County and volunteered as a prosecutor for animal cruelty cases.  I was the entertainment director of Port Clinton's New Year's Eve Walleye Drop for many years as well. Theatre is a hobby and I have directed and performed in several murder mystery dinners in the recent past. I also enjoy drone photography, playing pub trivia and golfing (badly).

I am a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins and am an avid supporter of  our local Toledo Walleye, as well as the Tampa Bay Rays.  Vintage automobiles are another passion and I consider Cadillacs to be the finest cars made.

I absolutely love working with kids! These are some of the talented fifth grade students with whom I've worked at Meadowlawn Elementary School in Perkins. I enjoyed helping coach these students to their well-earned victory in the Lorain County Mock Trial competition this past fall, and have enjoyed coaching a new group of students each year since 2017. It's also rewarding and fun to help out as a Mock Trial judge.
